Welcome on the Website of the Animal Project Tamera!

The Animal Project is a part of the Healingbiotope Tamera, a Peace Research Centre in the South of Portugal, that works for the liberation of planet earth from war and fear. www.tamera.org

The situation of the animals must be integrated into this peace work. We need new solutions for the wildlife, cattle, domesticated animals, animals in mass production and laboratories.

The Animal project deals with the question of keeping cattle in a species-apropriate way in connection with landscape healing (horses, cows and sheep); with animals in permaculture (pigs and bees); with creating new habitats for wildlife in a growing and more and more sane biotope; with a new and meaningful life for dogs and with direct help for animals in need in our surrounding.

In all aspects of our work we persue the way of cooperation and a trustful contact between human being and animal. We do not only take care for the physical aspect of healing but furthermore try to recognize and respect the spirit, mind and soul of the animals.

For centuries we have been looking to animals merely under the aspect of efficiency and usefulness or considered them vermin that need to be eliminated. We forgot what had been obvious in former cultures: Animals are living beings with a conscience and a soul that want to contribute to the healing processes of our lives and the life of our planet . If we learn anew to consider the voices of our co-creatures in all aspects of our peacework completely new possibilities will result that have barely been researched at all.

The animals are waiting for the human being; and when we take one step towards them, their joy and gratitude makes them approach us with a hundred steps.

The Earth with all its beings is in transformation. Nowadays we need concrete models which show the direction towards our desired future. May the Animal Project of Tamera be a contribution to this future.
