Invest in Peace

and in solutions for the future

The worldwide financial crisis, the continually diminishing natural resources, the change in climate and the increasing natural disasters show us, like never before, that humanity is challenged to transform its way of life and the way it handles the economy. At the same time though, something new is growing. In many places people have began to develop concrete solutions, perspectives for another life on this planet. more...

TTT Platform

The SolarVillage

Tamera is creating a self-sufficient model settlement on a 5 hectare (12.5 acres) part of the property. It is called the Solar Village and is intended to be a model settlement for peace villages. The model will combine research into energy, architecture, ecology and social issues so as to develop practical and theoretical knowledge for sustainability and self-sufficiency to the highest degree possible. The next step in the realization of the Solar Village is the creation of the Center for Research and Training in Non-Violent Technologies: the TTT Platform (temporary name).

Planning costs: EUR 70,000

Solar Tamera

Joint Venture for Solar Electricity

We have decided to connect Tamera to the public grid and to sell to the electric company the solar energy we produce that equals our consumption. A new law for entering solar energy into the grid helped to make this decision easier, since both financially and ecologically it is better than our previous approach.

Total costs: EUR 195,000

We have so far received a loan of EUR 100,000. Planned beginning of the project: 2010. more...

How Can You Contribute Financially?

Donations:

The development of Tamera and the activities of the GRACE Foundation are made possible by the generous financial support of individuals. Their dedication to peace simultaneously provides meaning and perspective to their own lives.

We wish to thank all donors who have already made it possible for us to build the assembly hall, develop the permaculture water landscape, construct the infrastructure for the students and the Solar Village Test Field, develop the Children's Place and carry out GRACE pilgrimages as well as the events of the Global Campus.

Loans:

Since the beginning of the establishment of Tamera, there have been individuals who have given us time-limited or unlimited loans. Most loans are free of interest and are for a time period of 1 to 10 years. Newly provided loans are first used to replace loans that are due and are otherwise invested in the further construction of Tamera, especially the expansion of the Global Campus in Tamera and the purchase of further land for the expansion of Tamera. As long as Tamera is being constructed, we gladly accept loans. When the construction phase has ended, we will focus on making Tamera debt-free. Tamera Support Circle:

A growing circle of people has formed around Tamera and the GRACE Foundation. A regular contribution to the Tamera support group helps us build up Tamera. Our goal is to attract 1000 people as members of these support groups whose members support Tamera with a monthly contribution of their choice. Together with our other sources of income, this support covers the basic financing of Tamera. Join in and give us the freedom to be able to concentrate fully on our research and construction work.

Membership in the GRACE support group provides support for the activities of the GRACE Foundation and thus finances the basic costs of the committed political and worldwide peace work that was initiated by Sabine Lichtenfels.

Every sponsor automatically receives our monthly newsletter describing the most recent developments and all our activities.

Bequests

A bequest is one possibility for ensuring the sustainable implementation of the "Healing Biotope Plan", i.e. to promote the worldwide establishment of healing biotopes and thus to help create a field for peace and for a world without war. Future generations will be grateful to you. We invite you to include a bequest for Tamera or the GRACE Foundation in your will. &nb
