Tamera gives thanks for an extraordinarily rich year 2009. It was a year in which one could learn how inspiration leads to vision building, and how a vision gathers different forces to achieve a common goal. In many fields there have been new initiatives, growth, and decisions. At the end of the year there was a pilgrimage which connected us in a new way with the country of Portugal, the Testfield inauguration of the SolarVillage, which drew a lot of public attention, and the Global Grace Day, which connected many young people in the world in a spirit of a new beginning and reconciliation. A review.

2009 in Tamera began with an intensive community time. For four months, the five pillars – the name of the working departments – lived very close together, and based their work on the basic values of community and the experience of trust, truth and mutual support. The end of these four months was at the same time the closing of the three-year Monte Cerro Peace Education.

With the question if thirty people can change the world, Sabine Lichtenfels and Benjamin von Mendelssohn invited people who are making a strong peace effort in their areas for an Easter Conference in Tamera.

It was a fantastic meeting with many consequences. Truth and a new start in love, building peace models, and reconciliation between Europe and the indigenous cultures. These core topics led to big plans and inspired Tamera to great enterprises during the year.

The Summer University 2009 was a big celebration, a coming together of a growing planetary peace community. For the first time, it was in the middle of a six-week youth camp, part of the Movement for a Free Earth. One of the highlights was the day „Embrace the Lake“ with the neighborhood and Portuguese friends.

After the Summer University, nearly one hundred people went to a Vision Quest in Tamera. Even for the leading team with Ofer Israeli, it was a time of community building and conflict resolution guided by Sabine Lichtenfels.

In September, the Grace Pilgrimage through Portugal started.

The pilgrimage ended with the opening of the Testfield for a SolarVillage which created a huge interest in the Portuguese public.

There were days where several TV teams came to film.

Who could think that this rich year would still hold another highlight?

The Global Grace Day was celebrated with a lot of fantasy, music, and spirit in many places of the world.

Many other events and processes cannot be reported here in detail, for example, the effort of the children to learn their theater piece „The Black Shadow“ in English and Portuguese and to play it in several locations.
Or the development of the planned Peace Research Village Middle East (PRV) with different deepening education times and network trips through Israel and Palestine.
The cooperation with the peace village San José de Apartadó became much deeper this year when several members of the leading council visited Tamera.
The youth Movement for a Free Earth received new impulses by the long summer meeting.
The water landscape was developed further, and Lake 1 has become a real wildlife biotope.
The Animal Project has steadily developed further.

Maybe the most important impulse is one which cannot be seen easily from the outside. Besides building a Testfield for a SolarVillage, the work for a Testfield 2 has started: a place for the healing work through a new conditioning of the traumatic knot. „Good that we create testfields for an ecological and sustainable lifestyle“, Dieter Duhm said in a speech, „but we also need the people who are able to live in peace.“
