Introduction Week "Tamera - a Model for the Future" 2017

We particularly welcome skilled professionals, technicians, engineers, planners and doers to this Introduction Week. It is for intended for those who want to get to know Tamera and who are considering applying their knowledge and skills in the context of a meaningful future-oriented project.

From 2018 we intend to offer training and integration sessions for professionals who want to come closer to Tamera and we are now looking for the engaged people who will take part. This Introduction Week will be a chance to get to know one another. The week is also open to all who are interested in finding out more about Tamera.

Today’s destructive society can be transcended, once credible alternatives show themselves. Probably the greatest challenge of our times is the development of a culture based on cooperation rather than exploitation, trust rather than fear. New non-violent cultural impulses need places where they can be developed in model form. The Healing Biotopes plan arises from this line of thought. The goal is to build a worldwide network of research centres for the future. Tamera, Healing Biotope 1, is a part of this global movement. Tamera’s Introduction Weeks allow people to get to know the basic concepts and the foundations of this work in the context of a developing model.

In this week we will use Tamera as an example to examine such questions as:

  • Which insights and experiences make it possible for a relatively small movement to initiate positive global change?
  • How can one build a lasting community?
  • What forms do technology and ecology take when founded on cooperation?
  • Why are issues such as trust, cooperation, solidarity, home, love, sexuality and partnership central to Tamera’s research work?

It will be an intense week of study to get to know Tamera, its ideas and foundational concepts.

Training and Integration Times for Professionals, 2018

With the start of Tamera’s energy autonomy project, planned for 2018, we want to completely rebuild our technical infrastructure. For this we will need trained and experienced specialists in water and electrical installation and maintenance, who want to take on responsibility in their fields. All-rounders are also welcome.

The training sessions are planned as blocks of several weeks of study of the intellectual/spiritual and human content of Tamera’s work, combined with practical work at sites within Tamera. Above all we want to enter into a community process together.

What is a Community Process?

Building community is the adventure of our times. Many people recognise the social and political necessity of community but are not really prepared for life in community. Those who enter community also enter a process of transformation. This process must be taken on consciously. Community is system-change. Old habits and strategies cease to work as they once did. We inevitably meet our own deepest questions – questions we share with all of humanity: questions of love, sexuality, fidelity, acceptance, partnership and religion.

We are looking for courageous, adventurous and responsible technicians and professionals who take on this process and who have a deep interest in working on the Healing Biotopes plan.
