Tamera Global Hive

An online space to stay connected with Tamera!

Over the years, many of you have expressed the wish to stay connected – not only with Tamera as a place, but also with the people, questions and values that shaped your time here. To support this, we created the Telegram group “Tamera Global Hive”.

The swarm is more than the sum of its parts.

This space is for people who:

  • took part in an on-site course longer than 7 days (including Community Service Arcs) in the last 5 years;
  • live at Tamera now;
  • lived at Tamera in the past.

In this space, you can:

  • share ideas, questions and reflections;
  • stay in touch with others from your time at Tamera;
  • offer resources or invitations;
  • nurture the growing web of trust that extends beyond the land;
  • use the ride-sharing topic to organize rides to and from Tamera – this is not for booking an official Guest Center pick-up;
  • receive current news and invitations from Tamera.

If you would like to be part of this space, go to @tamera_global_hive_bot on your phone or computer. You will need to have Telegram installed. The bot will guide you through a short onboarding process.

How to get started

Once you are in, this is how you can get started:

  • say hello in the “Introductions – Start Here” topic;
  • read the Telegram Community Guidelines below;
  • use English so everyone can follow;
  • before posting, read the pinned post in each topic. It explains what the topic is for so we can keep posts relevant;
  • mute topics you are not interested in so the group stays useful and not overwhelming for you;
  • ask a moderator (@rosannalopes) if you need help.

1. Respect Each Other

Treat everyone with kindness and respect. We are a diverse group with different perspectives and experiences, so let’s approach each other with curiosity and openness.

Engage constructively. If you disagree with someone, focus on ideas rather than individuals. Avoid personal attacks, harassment, or inflammatory language.

2. Align with Tamera’s Values

Embrace Tamera’s core values of peace, healing, sustainability, and cooperation. Posts and conversations should support the community’s mission and vision.

Stay on topic. This group is for alumni to discuss Tamera-related themes, share insights from experiences at Tamera, and explore topics related to regenerative culture, community, and intentional living. Have a look at all the subtopics/groups before posting so that we can keep things relevant.

3. Keep It Positive and Constructive

Be solution-oriented. Help create a positive atmosphere by sharing ideas, resources and insights that support learning and growth.

Celebrate each other’s achievements and offer support in times of need. This community thrives on mutual encouragement and support.

4. Use English as Our Common Language

To support inclusivity in our international community, we ask that messages in this group be written in English.

5. Maintain Privacy and Confidentiality

Respect privacy. Do not share anyone’s personal information, stories, or experiences without their consent.

What’s shared here, stays here. Let’s hold a shared commitment to confidentiality so this can remain a safe space for open sharing.

6. Avoid Promotion and Advertising

Limit self-promotion to relevant projects that align with Tamera’s values. Personal promotions and sales are not allowed unless they have prior approval from a moderator.

This is a non-commercial space, not a marketplace. Focus on building connections and sharing resources, not selling products or services. If you are organizing an event that is relevant to the community and the spirit of Tamera, feel free to share it in the “Event Promotion (Off Tamera)” topic.

Do not send direct messages to pitch or sell an idea or business unless this has first been agreed to in the group chat.

7. Share with Purpose

Be mindful when sharing content (articles, links, resources). Make sure it’s relevant and useful to the group’s purpose.

Credit sources. When sharing external content, provide proper attribution to authors or creators.

8. Respect Cultural Sensitivity

Avoid divisive language that could polarize the group or distract from its purpose. Topics such as politics or sensitive global issues are welcome when discussed respectfully and in alignment with the group’s mission.

Use inclusive language. Be mindful of words or phrases that may unintentionally exclude or harm others.

9. Follow Group Moderators’ Guidance

Moderators are here to help keep the space safe and aligned with Tamera’s values. If you have questions, concerns or need assistance, feel free to reach out to them.

Respect moderator decisions. If a post or comment is flagged or removed, please respect that action. Any concerns can be discussed privately with a moderator.

To maintain this community space, moderators reserve the right to remove any content or user account at any time, for any reason. Moderators do not preview new posts. The moderators and group operators take no responsibility for content posted by the community.

10. Zero Tolerance for Disrespectful Behavior

Harassment, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes offensive remarks about race, gender, sexual orientation, religion or nationality.

Avoid spamming. Do not flood the group with excessive messages, links or off-topic discussions.

11. Contribute to Our Shared Vision

Help sustain the purpose of the group. Share content that uplifts, educates and builds connections in alignment with Tamera’s teachings.

Be an ambassador for Tamera. As alumni, we encourage you to embody Tamera’s values, both in this group and in your interactions beyond it.

🔹 1. What is this group for?

This is a space for alumni of Tamera’s programs to stay connected, support each other and continue exploring the values of regenerative living, love, peace and community.

We have created themed topics for different kinds of exchange – whether you want to share reflections, collaborate on a project or coordinate travel to Tamera.

This group is not for booking your stay, course, Community Service Arc or shuttle. For that, please go to the website and follow the instructions there, or email guest-centre (at) tamera.org.

🔹 2. How do I know where to post?

Check the list of subgroups, which Telegram calls “Topics” (linked in the “Start Here” message).

Each topic has a clear purpose. This should already be visible from the title and is explained further in the pinned post within each topic.

Before posting, take a quick look at the group descriptions to make sure you are in the right place. This helps keep our Telegram community clear and easy to navigate.

🔹 3. Who are the moderators and what do they do?

Moderators are alumni volunteers who help maintain a safe and supportive space. They are here to:

  • – answer questions;
  • – support onboarding;
  • – gently redirect off-topic posts;
  • – help resolve conflicts if needed.

If you need help, you can message the moderator.

Please note that moderators are not responsible for questions about bookings. For this, please contact contact guest-centre (at) tamera.org

🔹 4. Can I promote my project, event, or business?

Only if it aligns with Tamera’s values and and is posted in the Event Promotion (Off Tamera) topic.

Please do not send unsolicited direct messages to promote things. Let connections grow organically.

🔹 5. How do I join or leave a subgroup/ topic?

You may only want to receive notifications from certain topics. You are welcome to mute any subgroup at any time, depending on your interests. You can also easily unmute them again if you change your mind.

🔹 6. How do I contact moderators privately?

We have set up a system that allows you to send a private message to the moderation team without being in their group.

Each topic has its own moderator. You can see who it is in the name of the messenger. You can tag them or send them a direct message.

The moderators will be notified and respond as soon as possible.

🔹 7. What if I see disrespectful behavior or off-topic content?

Please do not engage directly. Instead:

  • – use Telegram’s “Report” feature;
  • – tag the moderators in your message.

We want to keep this space grounded in care and mutual respect.

🔹 8. Are there any in-person meetups or online events?

Yes. We occasionally host webinars, Q&As and alumni gatherings, both online and in person.

You are also very welcome to initiate meetups or gatherings with other alumni in your own city, town or community.

Keep an eye on the Announcements and Events topics for updates, or post your own Tamera alumni meetup or gathering in the event topic.

🔹 9. Can I help support this community?

Absolutely. We welcome volunteers who want to:

  • – help moderate a subgroup;
  • – host alumni meetups or online calls;
  • – share knowledge, creativity or simply presence.

Tag the moderators if you are interested in co-creating.
