Open Afternoon
Get a first glimpse into the Peace Research & Education Center Tamera, an emerging model for the future. On a number of Saturday afternoons, between April and November, we invite you to discover and get firsthand insight into our place and project. These events are offered on a donation basis.
Program Details
The guided tour starts from Tamera’s Cultural Centerat 2.30pm. After an introduction to some of our foundational ideas from one of Tamera’s co-workers you will be guided through a tour of some of the different projects on our land. You'll discover the Water Retention Landscape and gardens, the Solar Test Field , Aldeia da Luz project and central auditorium as well as several other key places. We'll end with a Question and Answer session back at the Cultural Center, where you'll also have a chance to visit our bookshop.
We'll explore questions such as:
- What does peace research mean to us?
- How are we working to create a model for the future?
- Why do we live in community?
- How do we relate with water?
- How do we produce decentralized regenerative energy?
