Hands-on in the Solar Test Field & Garden
Join us for 13 days of annual maintenance in the solar kitchen and garden, and learn about community building.
Overview
Help us prepare the community garden and our Solar Test Field for the coming season.
In the mornings, we’ll be doing practical work. Tasks could include:
- refurbishing the secondary mirror of the big Scheffler reflector (metal and painting)
- painting the little walls with lime
- planting and preparing beds in our community garden
- and many other details that make a place functional, beautiful and homely
In doing so, you’ll also get to know our solar cooking possibilities and the Test Field in more detail.
In the afternoons, we’ll have group time where you’ll experience different tools of community building, (i.e. Forum, an invaluable social technology for creating trust and intimacy in a group), and learn about our philosophy, the Healing Biotopes Plan and our work towards energy autonomy.
Together, we’ll dive into questions like:
- How can people live together in truth and trust?
- What is peace work?
- How can regenerative communities make a difference to a world in crisis?
Who is the service for?
- People who want to and are physically able to clean, repair and maintain things or do garden work
- People interested in community-building
- People with an interest in regenerative autonomy and complicity-free living
- People with maintenance skills
What we’ll explore
- The vision of the Solar Testfield, its evolution and its present stage of manifestation
- Introduction to our bioenergetic gardening work
- How restoring inner autonomy and choice through community-building practices, helps us create sustainable autonomous systems
- Why we work with love and sexuality as political issues
Tamera is an emerging Healing Biotope where we work to reconnect with and restore the wholeness of life. Courses may focus on specific topics, but all of our research exists within an interconnected web — so your experience will likely expand into other areas.
As a course participant, you can join our morning offers, which include yoga and other possible activities. You’ll also be able to take part in events for the whole community like our Sunday Matinee, the Ring of Power, and Political Cafés.

Sliding scale: €35–€45 per day including board & accommodation.

Please plan to arrive on April 13th before 6pm and depart on April 27th.
