PRV Middle East: A time of serving and vision building

The group of Israelis, Palestinians, and Internationals who have the vision to create a Peace Research Village in the Middle East and, toward this goal, have spent several years of community training in Tamera, will go to Israel for half a year from November on.

Uri Ayalon: "It is not about finding a place at the moment, but we want to come in the service of peace for this land." During this time, they will dedicate themselves to a core issue of the Middle Eastern conflict: To water. Building water retention landscapes which can transform scarcitiy into abundance can be a task which is important for both sides, Israel and Palestine, and thus connect them. Tamir Yaari: "It is a high vision to restore hydrological balance in the whole catchment area of the Jordan and all the states, and that would be a basis for lasting peace."

Tamera will continue to keep contact with the group and to support them in any way possible.

At the Green Phoenix conference and on the following dates, they will present their plans in Switzerland once again: Tuesday, 29th of November, 7pm, together with Sami Awad of the Holy Land Trust, Union Kultur- und Begegnungszentrum Basel, Klybeckstr. 95; Wednesday, 1st of Dcember 12., 7 pm, Zentrum Karl der Große, Zürich, Kirchgasse 14.
